Please think of yourself in the following scenario as you complete this onboarding course.

You're sitting at your desk, waiting for your virtual onboarding Zoom session to begin when you hear the chime signaling the start of the meeting. As you join the call, you notice a group of people on the screen who are already chatting and seem to be familiar with each other. You start to feel a bit nervous and wonder if you will fit in.

Your onboarding instructor greets you on the Zoom call and welcomes you to the course. As you listen to the facilitator discuss 24/7 Teach's vision and business model, you begin to feel more at ease. The excitement in their voice and the passion for education that they convey makes you feel like you are in the right place. You start to feel a sense of belonging as you realize that you are among like-minded individuals who share your values. 

You're eager to learn and contribute, but also a bit apprehensive about fitting in with the group. You want to learn more about 24/7 Teach's mission to better understand how you can contribute to the company.

Your first step is to learn more about 24/7’s vision and hedgehog concept.

Your objective for today is to demonstrate understanding of 24/7 Education Group’s vision and business model, as well as summarize what a hedgehog concept is and what makes 24/7 Teach’s unique.

1.1 What is the Hedgehog Concept?

The Hedgehog Concept is a central principle discussed in the book "Good to Great" by Jim Collins.

The concept is based on the idea that successful companies must have a deep understanding of the following three key areas: 

• What they are passionate about

• What they can be the best in the world at

• What drives their economic engine

1.2 What is the Supermarket and how does it relate to 24/7 Teach?

24/7 Teach is a supermarket. Founded by CEO Justice Jones, the company provides a performance-driven, hands-on learning experience that is designed to help people gain a professional network, marketable skills, and a greater chance of success in the job market.
