Providing additional value and information: Following up with potential learners helps to increase brand awareness and establish our brand as a trustworthy and reliable one.
Anticipating questions and other concerns: Following up with potential learners provides an opportunity to address any concerns or questions they may have about our programs or courses, which can increase their likelihood of making a purchase.
Increasing the likelihood of conversion: Following up with potential customers who have shown interest in our courses or programs can be the push they need to make a purchase and become one of our learners
9.2) Revive dead leads
“It ain’t over ‘til it’s over!”
This means that sale is not complete until the customer has made the final purchase. Even if a customer has clicked on an affiliate link, visited the product page, and added the item to their cart, the sale is not guaranteed until they have actually completed the purchase. Therefore, it is important for affiliate marketers to continue to follow up with potential customers until the sale is finalized.
9.3) Promotional Cycles
Promotional cycles, also known as marketing cycles or promotional campaigns, refer to planned periods of time during which businesses or marketers execute various promotional activities to achieve specific marketing objectives. These cycles typically involve a series of coordinated marketing efforts designed to raise awareness, generate interest, drive sales, or achieve other desired outcomes.
Promotional cycles are an integral part of marketing and sales strategies, as they help businesses generate momentum, increase customer engagement, and drive revenue. By carefully planning and executing promotional activities within defined cycles, businesses can maximize the impact of their marketing efforts and achieve their desired outcomes.
Types of Promotional Cycles
Webinars/ Informational Sessions: This involves hosting live or pre-recorded online events where a knowledgeable presenter shares information or insights related to the product or service being promoted. These events provide a platform for potential customers to learn more about the product or service, ask questions, and interact with the presenter, ultimately leading to increased engagement and sales.
Monthly Product Feature: In this cycle, you would choose a different product or service to feature each month. You could create content such as blog posts, videos, or social media posts highlighting the product's benefits and features, and include your affiliate link for readers or viewers to make a purchase.
Seasonal Campaign: In this cycle, you would create campaigns around holidays or seasonal events. For example, you could promote Test Prep programs during exams season, or offer promotions for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Evergreen Content Strategy: In this cycle, you would create evergreen content, which is content that is always relevant and useful to your audience. This could include product reviews, "how-to" guides, or industry news and updates. By creating content that is always relevant, you can continually drive traffic to your affiliate links and earn commissions.
In conclusion:
Following up with potential learners is crucial for building trust, providing value, addressing concerns, and increasing conversion rates. Consistent follow-ups help establish strong relationships, enhance brand awareness, and anticipate and address any questions or hesitations potential learners may have. By following up, affiliate marketers can increase loyalty, establish their brand as trustworthy, and ultimately boost sales.
Reviving dead leads is an essential aspect of the follow-up process. Even if potential customers have shown initial interest, the sale is not guaranteed until they have completed the purchase. Therefore, it is vital for affiliate marketers to continue engaging with potential customers until the sale is finalized, ensuring that all opportunities for conversion are maximized.
Implementing effective promotional cycles can also contribute to increased engagement and sales. Webinars or informational sessions provide opportunities for potential customers to learn more about the product or service, ask questions, and interact with the presenter. Monthly product features, seasonal campaigns, and evergreen content strategies can help highlight different offerings, target specific events or holidays, and consistently drive traffic to affiliate links, resulting in higher conversion rates and increased commissions.
In summary, following up with potential learners helps build relationships, provide value, address concerns, and increase conversion rates. Reviving dead leads ensures that potential customers complete the purchase. Utilizing promotional cycles and evergreen content strategies can further enhance engagement and sales by showcasing products or services, targeting specific events, and driving ongoing traffic to affiliate links.
