Kaitlin Beaver - Business Development

Kaitlin Beaver is a recent graduate from Appalachian State University. She obtained a degree in English Creative Writing with a minor in TESL/Applied Linguistics. Education has always been a path she has wanted to pursue, whether it be teaching, working to better education access and equality, or the education system itself. An influential teacher she had was Dr. Fountain, a professor of Spanish, Linguistics, and teaching theory at ASU. She gave Kaitlin the confidence in her skills in language and Linguistics, as well the encouragement to continue on in her studies when she felt like she wanted to leave school. Dr. Fountain is by far one of the most intelligent, talented, and inspirational people Kaitlin has had the pleasure to meet and work with. She hopes to go on to teach English as a second language to the many children and adults who strive to learn. Recently, she has begun working for a children’s rehabilitation center that focuses on mentoring and counseling troubled youth in order to reach their full potential both socially and intellectually.

In her free time, Kaitlin often volunteers at the Human Society, hikes through the Appalachian mountains, and continues to further her own personal studies in language acquisition in and out of the classroom.
