Mike Mendelson - Director Instructional Design and Delivery, Math/Science
Mike Mendelson is currently working to blend project based and personalized learning at an Expeditionary Learning High School in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains (California). He was inspired by a sociology professor at UC Davis, Ellis Jones, who inspired him to question the rationale behind doing things a certain way because that's how they've always been done, and instead to design structures that allow for society to operate at its highest level. This mindset along with schooling in Engineering and Education have motivated Mike to look forward to helping shape the structure of 21st century teaching and learning around the best parts of both physical and digital classrooms with 24/7 Teach.
Mike's experience and passions are in math education, technology in the classroom, data-driven instruction, applied project and product based learning, and "whole-child" character based environments. He sees huge opportunity in creating tools to do all of these at the highest level possible.
