READING COMPREHENSION

UNIT 5 - LESSON 1:  RICH DAD POOR DAD AND THE SKIT

Lesson introduction:

Reading comprehension is a crucial life skill that each individual should have. Although an individual can read, does not necessarily mean he/she can derive meaning from the words. Reading comprehension is the ability to read text, understand its meaning and combine it with prior knowledge. This lesson aims to improve the reading comprehension of learners by reading chapters 1 through 3 of the book Rich Dad Poor Dad for Teens and participating in appropriate activities.

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki summarizes the lessons learned from two different perspectives, that of a poor man, and that of a rich man. Drawing on his own experiences, Kiyosaki discusses how to create financial independence through investing, property ownership and building businesses.
