Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) - the buzzword in education! Although around for many years, SEL is getting a lot of attention lately because children and adults are struggling in the areas of emotional and social development, developing and maintaining relationships, especially in the age of technology. Many are wondering what is social-emotional learning anyway. 

SEL is the process through which children as well as adults understand and manage their emotions, have the ability to set and achieve positive goals, know how to feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

Well, this hands-on workshop is for you. You will explore the concept of social-emotional learning as well as learn how to incorporate learning activities in your curriculum as you seek to help students develop in the five main competencies of SEL.


About This Workshop

In the workshop, you’ll focus on an instructional project where you will explore the competencies of SEL as well as approaches used to implement SEL activities into projects and curriculum for learners.

This course is available via one of our Remote Classrooms and can be accessed by any smart device with internet access.

Program Duration:

  • 15 hours: (5 hours in session, 10 hours self-paced)

Approximate Time requirements per week:

  • 15 Hours:  (5 Hours in Session, 10 Hours follow up)

  • One 30 minute one on one mentorship session
