Workshop Scenario:
Please think of yourself in the following scenario as you complete this workshop.
You have spent your entire career working in corporate environments, but you've always had a burning desire to start your own business. You recently had an idea for a new business that you're passionate about, but it's in a completely unrelated field. Despite lacking experience or expertise in this industry, you're determined to make your vision a reality. You feel certain that your business idea can be profitable while making a positive impact in the community.
In true entrepreneurial fashion, you have thoughtfully considered all aspects of your business, including target markets, marketing strategies, funding options, and scalability. But without startup capital, your plan is just a dream. Your final step is to build a comprehensive, compelling business proposal that will convince an investor that your business will both be profitable and make a positive impact on the community.
Your Objective:
By the end of the lesson, you will be able to create a successful business proposal by incorporating key elements learned in this course.
Final Business Proposal:
For this final project, you will have the opportunity to apply the principles of entrepreneurship that you learned in the first 5 lessons of this course. You will create a presentation that showcases your comprehensive business proposal including all of the elements below. You may do this in the form of an executive summary of no more than 10 pages or a pitch deck presentation of no more than 15 slides.

Business Proposal Instructions:
About You:
What qualities do you possess that will make you a successful entrepreneur? Why should an investor consider funding you and your idea?
Ideation:
Describe at least one ideation technique used to brainstorm your idea. What other ideas were considered, but rejected? Why is the concept you ultimately chose the most likely to be profitable, sustainable, and beneficial to society?
Research:
Elaborate on at least two market research methods you used to gather information about your potential customer base. What target market have you identified for your product or service?
Financials:
Choose one financial target that you will use to measure your economic success in the first year: revenue growth, profit margin, expense reduction, or return on investment (ROI). Why is this the best option to capture the growth of your business?
Marketing:
Describe your marketing strategy. How will you differentiate your product or service from the competition? How will you advertise to your target market?
Funding:
How much capital do you anticipate needing to cover your initial startup and ongoing expenses? What source of funding will you use to secure this capital?
Growth Plan:
What is the ultimate scalability of the business? What growth strategies will you employ to do this, if applicable?
Final Pitch:
What makes your business plan worthy of investment? How will you ensure that you will be profitable and make a genuinely positive impact in the world.
