1.1 The Hedgehog Concept

When they created 24/7 Teach, its founders followed a success model called the Hedgehog Concept. Business guru Jim Collins discussed this model in his book Good to Great.

The Hedgehog Concept states that successful companies must understand and focus on three key areas: 

  • What skills can they be the best in the world at

  • What they are deeply passionate about

  • What drives their economic engine

1.3 Program Components

Each program area in 24/7 Teach provides multiple benefits to team members, helping them achieve success. These include:

  • Independent, asynchronous modules to learn and practice new skills.

  • Weekly meetings with peers, learning coordinators, and/or team leaders to discuss course content and project feedback.

  • Independent and group projects focused on real-world problems.

  • Interaction with and project work for real businesses and community members.

  • Ability to grow within a diverse, supportive community of peers.

In 2014, 24/7 Teach was founded with the mission to eliminate education and training inequity globally within the next 25 years.

Its objectives are to:
