Instructional Design

Instructional Design Foundations

The knowledge layer of the Instructional Design Bootcamp: the theories, models, standards and vocabulary you need to explain, in the field's own words, why a piece of learning design works or doesn't. The projects that build judgment happen in person with your mentor.

How it works

  1. Online Read the lessons 12 lessons in four units, all open from day one. Take them in any order.
  2. Online Checkpoint A short check at the end of each content lesson. Retake it as often as you like.
  3. Online Unit assessment At the end of Units B, C and D. Pass mark 85%. Retake after 24 hours, with new questions each time. Unit A is included in the Unit B assessment.
  4. Online Written response One or two short responses per unit. Your mentor reads each one and accepts it or returns it with notes.
  5. In person Project rung Pass the assessment with your responses accepted and you're eligible. Your mentor assigns the project in person.
