Paid online workshop for working instructional designers · AI for IDs, Part 3

Building your AI instructional design system

From request to approved draft, on your own work

Parts 1 and 2 covered picking the model, writing the prompt and judging the output. This session puts the three together into one system you can run on Monday: a request comes in, you know which model to open, what to tell it, how to check what comes back, and when to stop and use your own judgment. You build it on a real task you bring, and you leave with it written down. Works whether your organization gives you ChatGPT or Claude.

What you leave with

What you'll be able to do

  • Run one system, every time

Turn a request into a draft the same way each time: pick the model, write the prompt, check the output, decide what only you can decide.

  • Write it down for your own work

You leave with your system on one page, built during the session on a real task you brought, so you can run it again without us.

  • Explain it to a stakeholder

Say what AI did, what you checked, and what you changed, so the people who sign off on your work can trust it.

  • How the 90 minutes runAbout 40 minutes of teaching with a live example, 30 minutes of building on your own task with help in the room, then open Q&A.
  • Who it is forWorking instructional designers, curriculum developers and L&D professionals. You don't need to have attended Parts 1 or 2: we open with a short refresh of both.
  • Who runs itThe 24/7 Teach instructional design team, the people who teach our AI-age instructional design bootcamp.

Bring one thing

One real request you handle at work: a module, a job aid, a quiz, anything you build. Have it open during the session. Use non-confidential material.
